The streets of downtown Denver were converted to a 1.65 mile, nine-turn temporary circuit for Round # 10 of the Champ Car World Series this past weekend. Bell Micro guests enjoyed a great day of racing at the hospitality suite located on the start/finish line. Representatives from Incentra Solutions, Avaya, Spectralogic, Lefthand Networks, Asaca and Conduant would mingle with our sales team from the Denver office; Jim Miller, Rob Genero, Mike Hart and Dane Hendrick.

Katherine Legge, in the #20 Bell Micro – PKV Racing Ford Cosworth/Lola/Bridgestone entry, would start in 15th position on the grid. Driving a strong, steady and patient race she took advantage of opportunities when they were presented, got outstanding pit work from her Bell Micro–PKV Racing crew and benefited from the mistakes and attrition of other competitors. Legge moved into the top-10 on lap 19 and would battle to hold a top ten finish through the final stint of the 97 lap contest. “The race went well for the Bell Micro-PKV Racing tea,” Legge said. “I was running with Dan Clark and Will Power for a long time, but I couldn’t stay with them during the last stint,” she noted. “Obviously, things could have gone a lot better, but for the first time in a long time we finished all three stints of the race without too many mistakes. And, trust me that was one of the most difficult races I have ever run, because it was so slippery out there. The Bell Micro–PKV Racing crew did a great job in the pits and we hung in there the whole race. That is what some of these races are about,” Legge concluded. Round #11 of the Champ Car World Series will take place on Sunday August 27 at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve, Montreal, Canada.

Alex Job racing is heading north for Round #7 of the American Le Mans Series that takes place this Sunday at Road America, Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin. Marcel Tiemann will reunite with the team and join Mike Rockenfeller for the remainder of the season. Tiemann brings a wealth of road racing experience to the team with his most recent win at the Nurburgring 24 Hour. Marcel drove for AJR last year at Petit Le Mans helping the team with a second place finish. Tiemann is looking forward to rejoining the AJR and running at Road America. “I have heard that the Road America circuit is really exciting, drivers that I have talked to compare it to Spa or the old Nurburgring. I am looking forward to adding another track in America to my resume. It will be a challenge to jump in with the team with four races to go at some new tracks, but with the team’s experience, I am ready to help the team have some good results.”

Commenting on the upcoming race Alex Job said, “Marcel is a know driver to us, having been in one of our cars at Road Atlanta last year as well as our Daytona Prototype. We have had a rough ride since our win at Houston. We have not been performing up to our standards and we are focused on turning the season around this weekend.” Alex Job Racing has an excellent record at the 12-turn four mile track with wins in 2004 and 2002. The race will be televised live on the SPEED Channel, Sunday, August 20th at 1:00 p.m. ET.

Bell Micro Racing will host its next Relationship Sales Event at the American Le Mans race at Road America, Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin on Sunday August 20th.
