Panoz Esperante “GTLM” Podium at St. Petersburg “This Could Be Habit Forming”
Hoschton Ga. –April 4th, 2009 – Company founder and CEO Dan Panoz and the entire team at Panoz Auto Development are justifiably excited about the back to back podium finishes of the Panoz Esperante sports car at the 2009, Mobil 1 12 hours of Sebring two weeks ago and the Acura Sports Car Challenge of St.Petersburg this past weekend. The Esperante GTLM was driven to a solid third place podium finish by Panoz Team PTG drivers Ian James and Dominick Farnbacher. This race was the total opposite of the Sebring course in that a short street circuit sprint race shows the total versatility of the Panoz Esperante chassis.
Led by Team PTG owner and team manager Tom Milner, the entire team as well as the car performed at and above the level of some of the world’s top teams and automotive marques. Dan Panoz, founder and President of Panoz Auto Development Company said "I am very proud of the job that Tom Milner and all of the PTG crew did at St. Petersburg this weekend. The fact that we are able to turn in another result like this is a true testament to the dedication of the staff both at Team PTG and the factory in Georgia".
