Tafel Racing

Headquartered outside of Atlanta, Georgia, this ambitious team has, in just two full seasons of racing, achieved an enviable level of success. Founded by Jim Tafel, the tight-knit team aims for excellence, style and commitment in every area of their involvement. Every member of the team works together towards the same common aim. They race to win.

In 2005 and 2006, Tafel Racing was involved in the Rolex Grand American Sports Car Series. Missing out on a podium in their first ever Rolex 24 Hours of Daytona, one of the sports biggest and most prestigious races, they went on to finish fifth overall in 2005. In 2006, Tafel also competed in the American Le Mans Series as a three car team in the GT2 category, placing 2nd, 5th and 10th in team points.

For the 2007 race season the focus was placed on the American Le Mans Series where Tafel Racing finished 3rd place overall in team points (GT2) and Jim Tafel was awarded the Founders Cup.

For the 2008 season, Tafel Racing has signed Ferrari factory driver Dirk Müller to pilot the No. 71 Tafel Racing / Bell Micro Ferrari F430 GTC for the full American Le Mans Series. Müller, the 2000 American Le Mans Series GT2 Class Champion, will share driving duties in the Tafel / Bell Micro Racing machine with Dominik Farnbacher. Rob Bell will join the duo as the third driver for the 12 Hours of Sebring race.
