PTG Racing

With more than 35 years in the racing industry, Tom Milner, President and Owner of PTG, has developed successful programs in a variety of racing venues, including IMSA,, SCCA and NASCAR. Early accomplishments include a partnership with Bill Scott Racing that produced 10 Formula Vee, Super Vee and Formula Ford Championships from 1967 to 1984.  PTG’s first IMSA Camel GT success came in 1981, when it campaigned a Ford Mustang to two wins.

The teams first full season in the GTP division came in 1991 where it raced a Chevrolet Spice, finishing in the top-ten in every race but two, capping the most successful independent effort in the history of IMSA GTP racing.  In 1992 the team fielded two Chevrolet Spice GTP’s, scoring a number of top-five wins with drivers Wayne Taylor, Al Unser Jr., John Paul Jr., Francois Migault and Jeff Purner.  In 1994, PTG entered into the NASCAR Busch Grand National series, scoring a pair of top-ten finishes.

The Panoz Esperante GTLM race car made its debut run at the 12 Hours of Sebring in 2007, following seasons where the team ran BMW M3’s in the American Le Mans, Grand-Am and SPEED World Challenge series.

Piloting the #21 PTG Esperante GTLM car for the 2009 race season are drivers Dominik Farnbacher and Ian James.
